Conditions
Application deadline for Summer 2009 is March 15, 2009. Selection is competitive therefore make certain you adhere to deadlines. There is a $100 application fee which is applied to the program costs.
Applicants will be notified within 5 days of their acceptance into the ESAC program. US$100 deposit will be due with the application to secure the candidates space. The full payment will be due on March 15, 2009 or 10 days after the application is accepted if applying after this date.
ESAC accepts checks, money orders, cashier's checks, money transfers and credit cards through PayPal (where available, additional 3% PayPal processing fee may apply). Please ensure the correct amounts are included. If you require alternative payment plans please contact us at esac@goesac.com
Flight disclaimer
ESAC reserves the right to change program dates or cancel sessions due to unforeseen circumstances. Participants should not purchase their airline tickets until 45 days out from the starting date of the Prague program. In the event a program date will be changed or cancelled, ESAC will notify all candidates immediately. ESAC will not be liable for unused tickets from a canceled program.
Refund Policy and Schedule
There is an application fee of US$100 (which will be applied to the program cost) due with the completed on-line application form. The application fee will be refunded only if a candidate is not accepted to the program by ESAC. Remaining balance of US$3,590 (or US$4,090 with optional excursion to Berlin) is due on March 15, 2009 or, if applying after this date, 10 days after the application is accepted.
To initiate a refund, a student must contact the ESAC staff immediately in writing of their intention to withdraw from the program. Please note the application fee of US$100 is non-refundable once student is accepted.
All program fees are 75% refundable until 60 days before the start of the program. Students will receive 50% refund of the program fee until 45 days of the program. If less then 45 days no refunds are available because all costs have been allocated and paid.
Health Insurance
There is a mandatory health insurance policy that is required for All American students participating in this program. Students of other nationalities should be sure to check that they are covered in the event of illness in the destination cities. American students will register with Cultural Insurance Services International at http://www.culturalinsurance.com/ The cost of this policy is approximately US$45 and it covers all treatment with reimbursement for medical expenses including medication, fully automated claim payment system, air evacuation in the event of serious injury, and US$10,000 life insurance payment to a selected beneficiary in the event of death. Students will be required to show evidence of this policy to ESAC prior to departure. Students failing to obtain this policy will not be allowed to participate in the program or live in the housing until they have secured this insurance. Parents and participants will be required to sign a waiver of liability in the event of great bodily harm or death due to unforeseen circumstances. Other nationalities should secure travel health insurance through a private insurance company if needed.
